Medical Biller/Medical Billing Specialist
*Job Pay Based on Experience $21 per hour
Company Description CDI is an innovative GI health company providing industry-leading diagnostic tests and tools to help physicians identify and diagnose common sources of digestive distress and functional gastrointestinal ailments.
Job Description The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for working with CDI’s billing team to process patient claims and payments.
Experience required.
Essential Functions as a Medical Biller/Medical Billing Specialist
Perform data entry and utilize billing software to complete claims processing
Effectively communicate with insurance companies, adjustors, and patients
Research claims for information to process bills in a timely manner
Work denial on Explanation of Benefits from start to finish
Correct all errors and resubmit all unprocessed or returned claims
Perform other duties, as assigned
Competencies as a Medical Biller/Medical Billing Specialist
ICD-10 Experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Accountability and ownership
Position Details This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel: Not applicable to position.
Education & Experience Required: High school degree or equivalent.
Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
Work Authorization Authorized to work in the USA.
