What Your Day Will Look Like
As a senior bridge design engineer, you’ll provide technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, improvement, and construction infrastructure projects. You’ll assist with research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of load‑bearing structures such as bridges, signs, walls, and transportation facilities. The bridge design engineer reports to the design manager.
What You’ll Do
Provide technical support on a variety of bridge projects.
Lead successful delivery of high‑quality projects within budget and on schedule.
Collaborate with others and lead transportation and bridge teams in all aspects of bridge analysis and design, from conceptual planning and preliminary design to final design and construction.
Identify creative and innovative engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 6 years of transportation engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D software.
Hybrid job requiring both office and field work. Requires use of standard office equipment and occasional exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.
Physical demands include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. May occasionally require operating a company vehicle and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
