Where You Will Work Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM), a division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace, manufactures fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets across nine U.S. subsidiaries.
Summary The Progressive Die Press Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains progressive die stamping presses to produce high‑quality parts according to specifications and production schedules.
The role requires a strong understanding of progressive die operations, safety procedures, and quality control, and focuses on efficient machine operation, minimal downtime, and a safe work environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Set up and operate progressive die stamping presses, including loading parts, adjusting feed mechanisms, and aligning dies.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate part production.
Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Perform first‑piece inspections and in‑process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Verify conformance of finished work‑piece to specifications.
Inspect parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
Record the piece count and run time of the production.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Working experience in a manufacturing environment.
A minimum of 0‑3 years related industrial machine shop experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
