Controller – Accounting & Finance Recruiting Manager

The company is seeking a
Controller
to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and support the organization’s financial reporting, planning, and analysis. This role will work closely with the President and partner with a talented, long‑tenured team across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to step into a broader leadership role—or someone who may be on the path toward becoming a future VP of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the accounting function, including month‑end close, general ledger oversight, and financial reporting
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with leadership
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
Prepare and present financial insights that support business decisions
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and related operations
Partner with the President on financial planning and operational improvements
Support evaluation of strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions
Mentor and guide accounting team members to support their continued growth
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
5‑10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end/quarter‑end processes
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Ability to analyze data and present insights to leadership
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Comfortable working in a hands‑on role within a family‑oriented, team‑driven culture
