Job Location: Richardson, TX 75082 (Remote work allowed). Contract: 12 months (W2).
About the Role Cloud Engineer with Kubernetes experience and project management skills. 5+ years of hands‑on cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) with Kubernetes and related technologies.
Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of system administration, networking, security, and performance tuning.
Maintain, upgrade, and patch operating systems and middleware.
Re‑host and migrate applications as needed.
Document and communicate with end users to understand requirements.
Use APM and SEIM tools such as Application Dynamics and Splunk to monitor and troubleshoot.
Automate tasks with Terraform and shell scripting.
Resolve issues independently and coordinate with teams until resolution.
Qualifications
Experience with SUSE Rancher and Kubernetes.
Linux (nix) experience.
Strong verbal, IM, and email communication skills.
Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.
DevOps experience.
Working knowledge of Kafka is preferred but not required.
