Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support executive decision‑making and fulfill company & departmental information needs
Manage the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasts, ongoing and ad‑hoc reporting, and the tracking of key operational metrics
Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for operational and financial improvements
Direct the cost analysis and pricing review processes and conduct periodic profitability reviews, including margin exception reporting
Mine wide‑ranging company data sets to uncover key insights and drivers for improving business operations
Lead the operational and sales budget planning, creation, and review processes
Assist in the development of KPIs and the communication of performance metrics and expectations to various teams across the organization
Increase departmental productivity by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools, improving processes, and creating professional dashboards
Interact regularly with key individuals from various departments across the organization to relay data and coordinate on reporting needs
Partner with accounting personnel to deliver regular, insightful reviews of financial statements
Gather and present strategic and useful information on industry trends and economic conditions
Assist with special projects, including M&A evaluations and executive presentations
Skills & Qualifications Required
5+ years of experience in a relevant FP&A focused role
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Must have strong analytical skills and experience with building models, financial reporting, budgeting, and mining data for insights
Manufacturing or CPG cost analysis experience is a plus
Must be able to gain an understanding of the business and apply insights gathered through analysis to the performance of the company as a whole
Experience and understanding of business intelligence reporting & visualization tools highly valued (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, Jet Reports)
Familiarity with data query/data management tools helpful (Access, SQL)
Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with executive‑level management
Should be a self‑starter with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Possesses a strong desire to streamline functions and find unique ways to add value as well as a passion to continue to learn and grow
