About The Role

Works with Columbia Wealth Advisors and Private Bankers to provide wealth planning services for clients, advising them on strategies and making recommendations.

Conducts comprehensive wealth planning: data gathering, plan creation, and presentation; identifies financial information and delivers guidance based on risk tolerance, goals, and circumstances.

Collaborates with Wealth Advisors, Private Bankers, and clients to develop, implement, and regularly review wealth plans tailored to evolving needs.

Partners with the CWA Protection Strategist to incorporate risk‑management insurance strategies.

Conducts cash‑flow analysis, estate planning, business succession, education, insurance, and retirement planning.

Handles complex financial and tax analyses, using independent judgment to develop methodologies and evaluation criteria.

Demonstrates compliance with bank regulations, stays current on regulatory changes, and completes required annual or job‑specific training.

Maintains working knowledge of Bank policies, BSA, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other applicable regulations.

May coach, mentor, or train others as a subject‑matter expert.

Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters Columbia corporate culture.

Takes personal initiative and serves as a positive example for others.

May perform other duties as assigned.

About You – Education

CFP, Master’s degree or equivalent; proven track record in developing business in the commercial industry (preferred).

Experience

5+ years of relevant wealth planning experience; experience as a Financial Advisor preferred (Required).

Skills

Significant experience managing wealth plan creation and presentation.

Excellent relationship management, business development, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Expert knowledge of wealth planning—retirement, investment, insurance, tax, trusts, and estate planning—and the competitive landscape.

Proven track record of developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing, and networking.

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company.

Proficient with wealth planning tools (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) and software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Proven ability to train and present to small and large audiences.

Pay range: $85,550.00 – $140,000.00. Incentive compensation may be offered; details will be provided during recruitment.

Primary Location Ability to work fully on‑site at posted location(s). 2010 Main Street, Suite 150 Irvine, CA 92614.
