About The Opportunity This open position is with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corporation. The role focuses on Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Maryland state operations, managing recruitment for engineering, field, and technical roles across multiple jurisdictions.

Vice President of Talent Management and Talent Acquisition
Position Summary The Manager of Talent Acquisition leads recruiting operations for assigned business units, ensuring high‑quality, timely, and inclusive hiring practices. The role manages a team of recruiters and coordinators, partners with HR Business Partners and business leaders, and drives process improvements to meet workforce goals. Responsibilities include full‑cycle recruiting, workforce planning support, and talent pipeline development, aligning with FirstEnergy’s strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full‑cycle recruiting for technical, professional, and leadership roles.
Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies.
Ensure consistent execution of recruiting processes, including intake meetings, candidate assessments, and offer management.
Monitor recruiting metrics (time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, inclusion representation) and implement improvements.
Supervise recruiters and coordinators, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development support.
Allocate requisitions and manage workload to ensure timely delivery of hiring goals.
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Finance to align hiring plans with operational and financial objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on talent acquisition strategies and market conditions.
Ensure adherence to employment laws, internal policies, and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
Drive process improvements and leverage technology (Oracle Recruiting Cloud, CRM tools) for efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
10+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of recruiting systems, sourcing strategies, and employment law.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience in utilities, energy, or regulated industries preferred.
