Soni’s client is a non‑profit seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Analyst to support bi‑weekly payroll operations and serve as a key resource for payroll and timekeeping systems. This role focuses on accurate payroll processing, compliance, and employee support while partnering closely with People & Culture, Finance, and external vendors. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage payroll and timekeeping systems, including user access, system configurations, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination (Tenrox).
Process bi‑weekly payroll, including audits, taxes, garnishments, manual checks, and direct deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Partner with People & Culture and Finance on benefits, deductions, reporting, audits, and month‑ and year‑end close activities.
Produce payroll and timecard reports, manage payroll inquiries through the help desk, and deliver recurring employee training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including year‑end filings and tax notices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of payroll experience.
Strong payroll operations, compliance, and systems knowledge.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and accuracy.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and deadline management.
Understanding of SOX‑related payroll and HR audit controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and professional fluency in English.
Preferred Skills
Experience with UKG Pro and Tenrox.
Payroll accounting knowledge and fund or not‑for‑profit experience.
Exposure to international payroll processing.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification a plus.
Compensation $35-40 per hour. Pay is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job‑related qualifications.
