Senior Account Manager- Commercial Insurance (Remote) Insurance Office of America is hiring a Senior Account Manager for Commercial Lines. This remote position (Eastern and Central Time Zones only) supports a book of contractors, property, and mid-market to large accounts in Longwood, FL.

Role Overview: Manage a book of business, ensuring account retention, supporting new business, and coordinating day-to-day administrative and customer service activities. Act as a subject matter expert for the account management team.

Work Mode: Remote (Eastern and Central Time Zones Only). Candidates residing within 50 miles of a branch may be required to work onsite occasionally.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.

Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.

Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.

Manage policy expirations and renewals.

Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.

Monitor reports on delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.

Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.

Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.

Maintain frequent communication with the account team regarding workload status.

Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to requests.

Stay updated on company policies and procedures.

Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.

Demonstrate integrity and leadership and champion IOA values.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

5+ years of account management experience or 7+ years in the insurance industry.

Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.

Active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

High School Diploma (or equivalent).
