Job Description CapTech Data Engineering consultants enable clients to build and maintain advanced data systems that bring together data from disparate sources. As a Cloud Data Engineer you will leverage the client’s cloud infrastructure to deliver value now and scale for the future.
Responsibilities
Develop data pipelines and data products using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Advise clients on technologies and methodologies for efficiently ingesting and processing data.
Apply engineering best practices to solve complex data problems.
Collaborate with end users, developers, and business analysts to ensure data architecture plans maximize value for clients.
Articulate architectural differences between solution methods and their advantages/disadvantages.
Qualifications
Experience delivering solutions on a major cloud platform.
Strategic thinking, relating architectural decisions to business needs and client culture.
Design and implementation of data architecture solutions.
Strong SQL database experience; database administration and scripting data pipelines.
Ability to assess and use traditional and modern architectural components based on business needs.
Demonstrated ability to deliver production data pipelines and products (e.g., hands‑on experience, degree, certification, bootcamp, other learning).
Skills
Languages: SQL, Python, Java, R, C#/C++/C.
Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Aurora, Presto, BigQuery, Oracle.
DevOps: Git, Docker, Subversion, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
Other technologies: Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Kinesis, Hadoop, Lambda, EMR.
Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
