Whitewater Waiver Coordinator
The Summit Bechtel Reserve, White Oak Junction, West Virginia, United States
Position Overview
Provide customer service in coordination with the whitewater admin. Focusing on external and internal processes creating seamless experience for guests and whitewater vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Organize all waivers into structured system for daily distribution in an efficient manner
Welcome and assist customers arriving onsite, resolving concerns promptly
Answer questions and distribute program information to guests regarding their scheduled whitewater activity
Oversee the daily check‑in, departure, and verification of guests for whitewater activities
File trip reports with West Virginia DNR
Write an end‑of‑season report to include operational improvements for your area
Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
Minimum age: 18+
Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, software navigation)
Strong problem‑solving skills and interpersonal communication abilities
Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work‑related communication
Physical & Practical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 3 hours daily and lift/move up to 25 pounds
Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Housing: 10’x12’ platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45 - 55

Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer‑service focus
Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
Salary: $1600 - $1700 per month
