We're seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused
Payroll Administrator / Human Resources Assistant
to join a growing organization in
Alpharetta . This is a
full-time, onsite, temporary-to-possible-hire opportunity
for a professional who enjoys balancing payroll accuracy with hands-on HR support in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats–spending roughly
20% of their time on payroll administration
and
80% supporting HR operations, employee engagement, and recruiting activities .

What You'll Do Payroll Administration
Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll accurately and on time
Review and validate timecards, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and adjustments
Maintain payroll records including employee data, benefits, and tax information
Prepare and support payroll tax filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Partner with Paycom to manage garnishments, terminations, and payroll changes
Generate payroll reports, earnings statements, and year-end documentation
Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion
Support payroll audits and year-end close activities
Human Resources Support
Maintain and update employee records in Paycom
Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment support
Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding in Paycom
Help manage performance processes, HR documentation, and compliance-related tasks
Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
Assist with employment verifications and personnel file management
Coordinate onboarding logistics, training materials, and reporting
Provide basic IT and office support to local and field staff
Assist with fleet administration, local office activities, and special projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
2+ years of payroll administration experience, including multi-state payroll
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience with Paycom preferred; QuickBooks knowledge a plus
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Preferred (But Not Required)
Experience with payroll compliance and tax filings
Familiarity with additional HRIS or payroll systems
Bilingual in Spanish
