Job Description We are searching for the best talent for a Lead Assistant, Legal Support to support our Global Innovative Medicine Business Development & Global External Innovation Legal team in New Brunswick, NJ. The foundation of the Lead Assistant, Legal Support role is to administratively support Johnson & Johnson’s Global Innovative Medicine Business Development & Global External Innovation Legal Group. We are looking for someone who is passionate, energetic, and agile and who acts professionally while demonstrating a clear communication style. The selected candidate will anticipate the needs of the team they support, help them stay focused, resolve issues before they arise, and go the extra mile as needed. A successful person in this position will also partner with other leaders and their administration staff within the Global Legal Organization on various projects. This person must have solid organizational skills, be able to work successfully in a matrixed environment, and handle various duties with appropriate prioritization and an ability to problem solve and learn new skills effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for calendar management and coordinating schedules

Coordinate complex schedules and travel arrangements

Coordinate conference room scheduling and catering for larger meetings as needed

Submit and reconcile expense reports in Concur

Manage confidential business documentation: emails, correspondence, files, and documents with the highest level of professionalism

Assist in the preparation of high caliber presentation materials

Manage special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed

Be the face of the team when hosting team meetings or visitors while they are onsite

Actively stay informed of company policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to the functioning of the department and provide guidance of such to applicable staff

Provide backup for other Administrative Assistants and/or Global Legal Organization team members as needed

Required Qualifications

A High School diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years as an assistant supporting executives, their direct reports, and their teams

Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams

Proficiency in J&J Systems/Portals: Concur, AMEX Travel, Summit, AskGS, and IRIS

Global calendaring experience in a complex matrixed environment understanding time zone impacts to meetings and travel schedules

Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and prioritization skills

Self‑motivated and must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Flexibility to adjust to changing business environments to ensure an organized experience to internal and external teams

Proven ability to build and support strong, positive relationships with internal and external business partners

Display business and emotional intelligence

Demonstrate accountability for role responsibilities and actions

Maintain the highest standards of integrity

The Anticipated Base Pay Range $63,000.00 – $101,430.00

Additional Description For Pay Transparency Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Benefits

Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (48 hours for Colorado, 56 hours for Washington)

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – 13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period (10 days)

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time‑Off – 80 hours per calendar year
