What You’ll Do
Rotate through the functional areas of our core lines of business (mills, fabrication, recycling, or emerging businesses group such as construction services)
Participate in the CMC safety programs and uphold the CMC safety culture
Work in roles at the plant level to learn processes and procedures
Participate in developmental trainings and business projects
May work in short‑term assignment roles (e.g., fill in for vacation or vacancies) as needed
Complete and present a capstone project at the conclusion of the program
What You’ll Need
Ability to work under the guidelines of CMC’s core values and safety standards
Ability to work in the elements (hot, cold, wet, etc.) as needed
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Ability to work at all levels of the organization (shop floor to upper management)
Strong customer service skills
Willingness to relocate at the end of the program if the next opportunity is at a different location
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Foster a culture of learning, growth, and people development
Ability to travel to various CMC sites as required
Demonstrate leadership and customer service consistent with CMC’s values
Must have completed an undergraduate degree at an accredited school to be eligible for the Core Career Path Program
Your Education
Engineering degree preferred
4‑Year ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred
