2-2-3 day off/on rotation

Summary Manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations for assigned shift reporting.
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsible for aspects of the manufacturing operation on assigned shift; which includes meeting established safety, quality, line efficiency, yield, cost per case and customer service goals/standards
Management of hourly employees to include: hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, training and development, completion of performance evaluations, approval and maintenance of records of employee attendance/hours worked
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
Work with cross functional teams to resolve technical problems
Review material transactions and complete production work orders
Enforce safety and housekeeping rules and policies
Manage/supervise 10+ hourly employees
Coach, mentor and develop staff, including preparing and conducting employee performance appraisal
Maintain employee work schedules including timecard approval, work assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off
Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Required Education, Skills, And Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree with 3-5 years supervisory experience in a production setting, preferred
Experience in food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry and/or high speed packaged consumer goods manufacturing environment
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Experience in department cost control and budget management
Excellent Leadership capability – ability to motivate and influence others
Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience
Working Conditions
Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
Constant standing and moving by foot
Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts
Frequent lifting/carrying
Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
Occasionally lifting >50 pounds
Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
