Job Overview We are seeking an experienced
Operating Room Technician (Surgical Tech)
for an
urgent, disaster-critical
contract assignment in Bronxville, NY. This role supports
Labor and Delivery
services and requires immediate availability. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience, appropriate certification, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field Ensure proper handling and availability of surgical instruments and supplies Follow aseptic technique and infection control standards Anticipate surgical team needs throughout procedures Support Labor and Delivery surgical cases as assigned Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
Required Qualifications NBSTSA certification
(required) High School Diploma or GED (required) Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program Minimum
1 year of Operating Room experience
as a Surgical Tech Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
