Senior Construction Manager – HDR HDR is a leading employee‑owned firm in the water sector, committed to sustainable solutions and inclusive culture. This senior role will lead construction projects that deliver safe drinking water, wastewater treatment, flood control and other vital infrastructure, ensuring high quality, cost control and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling and quality control. Develop and maintain the Project Management Plan and Construction Management Plan. Define procedures for construction contract administration, including document, change, time, cost, quality and safety management. Conduct procurement planning, constructability reviews and value engineering studies. Administer and manage construction activities, monitoring progress against the design and program requirements. Prepare, issue and negotiate change orders. Analyse construction schedules and control the project budget. Manage project quality assurance and inspection services. Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program. Prepare and update project schedules, progress reports and budget information. Lead local bidding and procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages. Coordinate document management and review construction submittals, shop drawings and pay applications. Set up project facilities and handle temporary arrangements. Perform any other duties required to successfully manage the project. Physical Expectations/Requirements

Capable of inspecting work on site without physical assistance, utilizing standard contractor equipment. Able to lift up to 50 pounds unaided. Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications. Strong verbal, telephone and email communication skills. Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision. Accustomed to performing simple mathematical calculations and measuring distances on paper and terrain. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) designation. Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management software and web‑based collaboration tools. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or a closely related field (or equivalent work experience). At least 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document, time, cost and quality management, change management and site safety. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with owners, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders.
