Our Womelsdorf location is looking for a
PIT MECHANIC FOR MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT
– 1st shift.
This position works primarily with material handling / PIT equipment. Previous experience with general maintenance or equivalent experience is preferred. The position will also have an opportunity to be trained and work with process equipment.
Responsibilities
Preventative maintenance, corrective work, and troubleshooting/repair of PIT equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet trucks.
Work independently or with a team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the PIT fleet.
Work from OEM manuals and/or verbal instructions.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment; safety is a priority.
Effective verbal and written communication; good interpersonal skills.
Stand and walk throughout the day with ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Qualifications
Education and/or experience in general maintenance preferred.
Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
Dependable, self‑motivated, positive attitude; willing to learn and grow with the company.
Good organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
