Pembroke Hospital is hiring Activity Therapists to join the team! We are currently offering full‑time or part‑time opportunities.
Pembroke Hospital is a 120‑bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Activity Therapist is an important member of the inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities
Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
Facilitate groups on inpatient psychiatric units
Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
Provide education to mental health associates through both formal and informal means to ensure effective and appropriate therapeutic group facilitation
Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications Requirements
Master’s Degree in a related field and working toward or having already obtained a certification in expressive, music, art, recreation, occupational, or physical therapy.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in recreational or expressive therapy and one of the following certifications: Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT‑BC), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR‑BC), or other certified expressive therapist modality.
