Travel Core Responsibilities Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors, positioning and consistently producing radiologic images of diagnostic quality. Works cooperatively with all department members to resolve problems expediently. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. Demonstrates awareness of patients’ rights in all interfaces with patients. Administers oral contrast as needed per exam. Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assists radiologist during procedures. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operating all x‑ray equipment, CR and DR systems. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager or lead. Completes assigned procedures timely; assists others, performs clerical duties, stocking, transporting in between. Maintains medication security to authorized personnel only. Provides health care services in own job category to all age groups. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships. Uses Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS competently. Participates in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted. Ensures confidentiality using personal password and patient care modules. Answers telephone inquiries from physicians or other hospital personnel, maintaining good phone etiquette. Qualifications Licensed in the state of New York. Minimum of two (2) years experience. Preferred: Interventional radiology experience; former RT from other modalities trained for up to six months in neuro IR is acceptable. BLS (American Heart Association) certification. Estimated pay package based on bill rate at the time of posting. Bill rates may change frequently and without notice.
