Role Overview Furnace Operator II is the next level of progression in the braze field. A Furnace Operator II has successfully completed both practical demonstration and written exam requirements associated with certification. The operator is capable of completing all required duties of a furnace operator while under the general guidance of more experienced operators. The operator follows established standard work under general supervision and references problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, supervisors or engineers.
Shift Information 5th Shift, Weekend Shift – Friday through Sunday 6:30PM – 6:00AM, paid for 40 hours.
Sign On Bonus External candidates will receive a $1,000 sign on bonus.
What You Will Do
Load, unload and monitor furnace runs.
Inspect parts that have been brazed.
Understand and follow quality testing techniques, including reading prints for inspection and alloy placement.
Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.
Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as directed by your leader.
Work under immediate supervision, receiving detailed instructions.
Develop basic job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
Perform routine/repetitive tasks requiring limited judgment; little or no decision‑making role.
Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety‑related activities.
Work over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including extended shifts or overtime as required.
Willingness to work non‑standard hours, including possible holiday hours.
Schedule: 5th Shift, Friday to Sunday 6:30PM – 6:00AM.

Qualifications You Must Have
High School diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior furnace monitoring experience.
Manual dexterity for tasks involving fine manipulation of small tools.
Proficiency with hand tools and equipment such as scopes and alloy applicators.
Ability to read and understand prints.
Basic shop math and knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
Pass FAR 145 training.
