Maintenance Technician - The Upland

Experience the EMBREY Way by joining our dynamic Property Management Team as a Maintenance Technician at The Upland. As a Maintenance Technician, you're responsible for ensuring that all vacated apartments are thoroughly restored to "make ready" status in a timely manner, and assist with work orders as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems
Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and appliances
Make ready units for new move‑ins
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
Maintain clean and safe work areas, including janitorial duties when needed
Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety codes and company policies
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Assist with building renovations, installations or furniture assembly
Monitor inventory of supplies and request replacements when necessary
Collaborate with contractors or vendors when specialized repairs are needed
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus
Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities or a related field
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs
Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and work orders
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects or work in tight spaces
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures
Valid driver’s license (if travel between sites is required)
Strong attention to detail and time‑management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
