Diesel Technician/Mechanic (C) - 2nd shift
Job located in Apopka, FL (Orlando, FL). Compensation: $72,800.00-$120,000.00 (industry range). 100% full‑time.

Summary of Position Knowledge and ability to perform preventive maintenance services on heavy‑duty and light‑duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems.
Essential Job Functions
Aid/assist drivers in completion of daily post‑trip and vehicle safety inspections.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment during safety lane and PMs.
Complete lubrication and repairs on lubricant points as per schedule.
Learn and utilize brake inspection procedures, document daily.
Perform basic repairs and maintenance on heavy‑duty equipment (rear load, front load, roll off, grapple, port‑a‑let, chassis, body).
Communicate with A & B technicians/drivers regarding vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
Complete paperwork/computer data entry (parts usage, repair time).
Maintain clean, safe work area, comply with corporate/OSHA standards.
Conduct repairs using factory service manuals.
Maintain high standard of ethics and dependability.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Assist drivers with pre/post‑trip process.
Identify visible repairs required on vehicles (lights, mirrors, leaks, body damage).
Assist in fluid top‑up (oil, hydraulic fluids, transmission fluid, DEF).
Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments.
Assist technicians with repair of lights, wipers, mirrors.
Understand and use lubrication charts for waste trucks.
Assist in repair of basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components.
Know all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance.
Basic computer skills as required.
