Key job responsibilities

Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems.

Create documentation to share innovative design/process solutions, process maps, design standards, etc.

Generate structured plan to turn innovative design/process solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot and finally expansion.

Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression.

Act as SME expert in area of ownership, providing expertise to other Engineering teams and challenging suppliers and partners.

Build large‑scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget).

Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible.

Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road‑mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered.

Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or equivalent.

5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience.

5+ years of integration, testing and automation experience.

Experience in management of engineering design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing solutions for large, high‑volume sorting operations.

Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.

Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools.

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
