Responsibilities
Preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses.
Manage compliance and planning for estate and trust tax engagements.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff on tax matters and procedures.
Conduct tax research for complex issues and deliver actionable recommendations to clients.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices across all tax projects.
Review and approve workpapers and filings for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate directly with clients to address inquiries and deliver value-added solutions.
Must-Have Skills
Active CPA certification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tax preparation and compliance within public accounting.
Strong business tax compliance.
Expert knowledge of estate or trust taxation as well as individual tax returns.
Strong proficiency in tax software and research tools.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with multi-state filings and complex entity structures.
Advanced knowledge of estate planning strategies.
Background in process improvement and automation within tax practices.
Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with tax technology platforms and workflow tools.
