We are building a premier life sciences investment firm within J.P. Morgan. Your role is critical to building our Healthcare Life Sciences Private Capital business and the Healthcare Growth Fund. The Healthcare Growth Fund targets growth-stage companies across life sciences, including de-risked clinically‑validated biotechnology and commercial‑stage pharma services, medical devices, tools and diagnostics.
Job Summary As an Associate within the Life Sciences Private Capital team, you will leverage your strong analytical background to help in identifying and evaluating targets. A passion for healthcare and an understanding of business and market dynamics in the medical device, biopharma, and life sciences tools and services sectors will be crucial to your role. This role offers the opportunity to be a key participant in the investment process from opportunity identification through due diligence, transaction structuring, documentation, and deal closing.
Job Responsibilities
Financial analysis and modeling of investment opportunities
Detailed product and market diligence, forecasting and sensitivity analysis
Maintain deal flow tracking and management system
Develop investment theses and perspectives on investment themes/areas
Financial, business and scientific diligence from both secondary and primary sources
Information aggregation, synthesis and dissemination to team
Collate all transaction memoranda and help present materials to investment committee
Required capabilities and qualifications
Undergraduate degree from a top‑tier university
3+ years of industry experience ideally in life sciences investment banking or consulting
Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Team oriented, highly coachable and exceptional work ethic
Demonstrable passion for investing and healthcare
Highly entrepreneurial and self‑motivated
