Essential Functions:

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.

Ensure accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany activity.

Coordinate and oversee month-end closing activities to comply with published schedules and reporting deadlines.

Work closely with fellow accountants to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for Corporate Headquarters and divisional operations, ensuring deadlines are met and all work aligns with U.S. GAAP.

Prepare and consolidate global trial balances and roll-up of quarterly forecast financials.

Support Corporate and divisional management in the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecasts, and other financial projections.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis

Analyze and interpret results for manufactured products, including sales and gross margin performance, cost structure, and spending trends.

Provide financial support for capital projects, cost-savings initiatives, and inventory management activities.

Assist with system reconciliations between manufacturing, inventory, and general ledger systems.

Intercompany & Treasury Support

Record and reconcile intercompany transactions through the Corporate general ledger; issue and confirm intercompany statements with global partners.

Provide intercompany netting settlement details to Treasury and Accounts Payable.

Perform monthly reconciliations of all corporate bank accounts, clearly identifying and resolving reconciling items.

Audit, Compliance, and Internal Controls

Prepare schedules and provide support for internal, external, and tax audits.

Support tax compliance processes by preparing and reviewing supporting financial information for all required filings.

Participate in any periodic audits in collaboration with HR and external auditors.

Process Improvement & Systems

Document existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and enhanced accuracy.

Develop and implement procedural and system improvements.

Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal controls, operational systems, and data flows.

Collaboration & Professional Development

Work directly with business unit and corporate leaders to provide guidance, financial insight, and support during budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Collaborate across departments including Financial Services, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to ensure data accuracy and alignment.

Complete all required and quality training applicable to the position.

Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, public, or manufacturing environments.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, standard cost accounting, and financial reporting principles.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word and related applications.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
