Base pay range $23.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Ready to set the bar for code-quality welds? If you thrive on precision, love mentoring others, and take pride in passing AWS D1.1 inspections, this role at Anchor Industries is for you. We manufacture structural components for tent frames, shelters, and temporary structures—and we’re looking for a seasoned welding specialist to lead by example.

Own complex setups: adjust MIG/TIG machines, wire feeders, shielding gases, and fixtures.

Turn drawings into reality: read prints and weld symbols, plan sequence, and control distortion.

Deliver structural-grade, full-penetration welds with a clean, consistent finish.

Partner with quality and engineering; contribute to WPS creation and continuous improvement.

Maintain 5S, adhere to OSHA practices, and flex for overtime or special projects when needed.

Must-haves

HS diploma/GED; technical or vocational welding training strongly preferred.

3–5 years in structural/production welding within manufacturing or fabrication.

AWS D1.1 certification (or ability to re-certify upon hire).

Proficiency: GMAW (carbon steel) and GTAW (thin-gauge steel or aluminum).

Skilled in flat, horizontal, and vertical welding to code quality.

Blueprint and weld-symbol fluency; metric and imperial measurement skills.

Fabrication basics: cutting, layout, grinders, saws, and hand tools.

Strong communicator with excellent time management; committed to teamwork, safety, and improvement.

Physical And Work Environment Requirements

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision welding.

Tolerance for heat, noise, and metal-fume environment (PPE provided).

Where you’ll work Enjoy a climate-controlled shop. You may occasionally encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, or caustic/toxic chemicals. Noise is usually moderate. Most of the time PPE isn’t required; when a task calls for PPE, we’ll provide it and it’s mandatory to wear.
