Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.
About the Position Responsible for the preparation of the payroll, involving computing and recording deduction, collecting information on changes in taxes, insurance and miscellaneous deductions to ensure accuracy of payroll; check accuracy, enter time and leave records in the KRONOS systems; serve as the backup to the Payroll Director and Assistant Payroll Director to prepare and submit payroll in SPAHRS; assist the Director of Payroll with preparing documentation for benefits reconciliation provider; assist with organization of the yearly insurance fair; provide necessary documentation to ensure compliance with Department of Finance and Administration requirements; exhibit and maintain a pleasant, courteous and positive attitude with coworkers and other ESS personnel.
This is a non-state service (NS14), time-limited position with Ellisville State School.

Ability to be flexible in thinking and problem solving. Realistic expectations about the difficulty and challenges of the work. Ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment.
