Tax Accountant & Bookkeeper
to join our growing firm.
This is a high-impact, dual-role position. You will serve as the financial backbone for our clients, managing everything from monthly reconciliations to complex corporate tax filings. We aren’t just looking for a data entry specialist; we want a proactive advisor who can spot tax-saving opportunities and help our clients optimize their financial performance.
What You’ll Do: Tax Strategy & Precision Accounting
Tax Preparation & Planning
Full-Cycle Filing:
Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with a high degree of accuracy.
Strategic Research:
Apply current tax regulations to minimize client liabilities and maximize potential savings.
Resolution Expert:
Respond to client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues with federal and state agencies.
Trial Balance Mastery:
Bring books to the trial balance stage, record monthly transactions, and maintain the general ledger.
Reconciliations:
Manage bank and credit card statements alongside other critical financial accounts.
Payroll & Deposits:
Handle payroll processing, federal/state tax deposits, and annual forms (941, RT-6, 1099, W-2, Sales Tax, etc.).
Financial Storytelling:
Prepare periodic financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP to give clients a clear picture of their health.
Client Relations & Advisory
Trusted Advisor:
Provide insights on accounting procedures and business improvements.
Proactive Communication:
Regularly interface with clients to gather documentation and provide year-round support.
Who You Are
Experienced:
You have
3+ years of relevant experience
in both tax and bookkeeping.
Tech-Savvy:
You are highly proficient in
QuickBooks
and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel). CRM experience is a major plus.
Detail-Obsessed:
You have a "knack for numbers" and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial calculation.
Communication Pro:
You are fluent in English and can explain complex tax concepts simply.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
skills are highly preferred.
Credentialed (Preferred):
An Associate degree is required; a CPA or EA designation (or being in progress) is a strong advantage.

Standard Hours:
Monday – Friday (Off-Season).
Tax Season Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including half-day Saturdays from February 1st to April 15th, to meet critical deadlines.
