Account Supervisor You'll Report To:

General Accounting Manager As the Accounting Supervisor, you will play an essential role in our accounting department by overseeing key accounting functions including accounts payable, expense management and agent commissions. You will ensure accuracy, drive process improvements, and support the financial integrity of our operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations related to accounts payable, expense management, and agent commission processes Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring invoices are processed appropriately and on time Review, analyze, and coordinate agent commission calculations and payments Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies Review and approve manual journal entries to the general ledger Ensure internal controls are followed and appropriate documentation is maintained Partner with cross-functional teams (Agency Management, Billing Operations, Claims Operations) to streamline workflows and improve internal controls Support month-end and year-end close activities Provide assistance and backup support to other areas in finance and accounting Identify opportunities and actively participate in company initiatives to enhance systems, automation, and internal processes

What You’ll Need to be a Top Candidate

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles 3+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities (insurance industry experience a plus) Strong knowledge of accounts payable procedures Excellent analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Microsoft Excel

Preferred

Experience in the insurance industry, particularly homeowners or property & casualty insurance Familiarity with FIS Enterprise Accounting System (EAS) Familiarity with SAP Concur Familiarity with Blackline

Schedule

8:30-5:30pm, M-F. #LI-Onsite

Working Conditions

Normal business office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for periods of time while constantly operating a computer and/or other office productivity machinery such as a calculator or telephone. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery or communicate with coworkers.
