The City of Lakeville is seeking a versatile and proactive IT Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be the boots on the ground for our digital infrastructure, ensuring that city staff have the hardware, software, and support they need to serve our community effectively.
From troubleshooting complex system issues to assisting with budget planning and physical cabling, this position offers a dynamic mix of technical problem-solving and hands‑on maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
User Support: Provide top‑tier help desk support (in‑person and remote) for hardware, software, and system training.
System Maintenance: Install, repair, and troubleshoot PC hardware, peripheral equipment, and network components.
Infrastructure Support: Assist with cabling/wiring projects across various City buildings and support shared resource systems.
Continuity: Serve as a backup for the IT Systems Architect and IT Specialist, and participate in an on‑call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
