Network Security Engineer
Pay Range
This range is provided by TALENT Software Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base Pay Range $85.00/hr - $90.00/hr
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement secure hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures across AWS and Azure.
Architect VPC/VNet segmentation, routing, and connectivity, including hub-and-spoke and transit VPC/VNet models.
Integrate on-premises networks with cloud environments using Site-to-Site VPN, Direct Connect, and ExpressRoute.
Define and enforce network standards, reference architectures, and security guardrails.
Design and maintain secure ingress/egress controls and east-west traffic inspection.
Implement network segmentation, micro‑segmentation, and Zero Trust security principles.
Required Skills (Ranked By Importance)
5-10 years of experience in Information Security and Engineering.
5+ years of experience designing and maintaining AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
Strong experience in cloud security architecture, operations, and automation.
Proven ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including:
Security tools and configurations
Deployment architectures
Incident and investigation reports
Preferred Skills (Ranked By Importance)
5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in AWS and Azure.
Hands‑on experience with:
Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
F5 Load Balancing / Firewall
Infoblox
Forescout
Prisma Cloud
Required Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Active AWS or Azure certification (mandatory).
Preferred Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
PCNSA or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certification)
