*About the Role - Specialty Department RVT:*

As a Registered Veterinary Technician in our specialty departments, you will play a vital role in supporting our specialists and ensuring excellent patient outcomes. Responsibilities may include:

* Prepare patients for anesthetic or sedated procedures, including pre-op medications, induction/intubation, and aseptic prep * Monitor anesthesia for a variety of diagnostic and surgical procedures * Maintain accurate anesthesia and medical records * Recover patients from anesthesia and identify abnormal findings for appropriate escalation * Provide post-operative and specialty-specific nursing care, including bandage changes, wound care, and mobility assistance * Perform advanced technical duties including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and CRIs * Strong medical math skills (fluid rates, CRIs, multimodal drug infusions) * Utilize digital radiography equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images * Obtain, process, and run laboratory samples * Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures * Safely restrain both dogs and cats * Administer IV/IM/SQ injections confidently * Support workflow by providing excellent patient care, client communication, and technical assistance to the medical team * Stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a well-organized workspace * Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs

*What We Are Looking For:*

* Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) required (or eligible for California licensure) * Previous experience in a specialty setting (Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, ECC, etc.) is a plus * Strong anesthesia and technical skills * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty environment * Compassionate, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
