Summary: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our guests

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the casino and other required areas as assigned by the Supervisor

Assume the responsibility of keeping your assigned area maintained in accordance with policies and procedures

Clean in between slot machines, remove any paper, place any glasses on the end of the slot bank, and discard all empty bottles

Empty ashtrays ensuring there are not any hot ashes, clean out built-in ashtrays and remove items from sand urns; wipe ashtrays clean with a wet towel

Sweep trash and debris, edging machines, and/or stairs

Check the porter closets in assigned area, remove boxes, towels, trash, remove gum and check for spots at the end of each shift

Properly use and operate tools and equipment as trained

Continually observe your area and report any conditions that may not be up to company standards to the Lead Porter

Perform Housekeeper duties as needed

Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous public area or housekeeping cleaning experience preferred

Previous experience working with chemicals, cleaning products and solvents as well as the correct use of each

Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills

Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to effectively interact with fellow team members and management

Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner

Proven experience providing high level of guest service

Must be at least 21 years old

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal

Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

Verify right to work in the United States

Frequently push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs

Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50lbs at floor, knee, waist and chest levels

Regularly reach, bend, twist or stoop

Occasionally sit at desk

Always standing or walking throughout the work station for the duration of the shift

Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail

Occasionally move throughout the property

Communicate via radio
