Responsibilities
Promote safety – prioritize safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
Repair and maintain plant equipment, including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, water pump service, and cutting, grinding, welding as needed.
Inspect equipment and structures – perform daily inspections to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
Monitor processes and materials – review aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and compliance.
Document and record information – enter and maintain service and lubrication reports.
Perform general physical activities – cleaning, washing, sweeping, shoveling materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred: Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry.
Preferred: Knowledge of best practices in industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production.
Must have mechanical skills – knowledge of industrial tools and maintenance.
Must be flexible to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions, tolerating loud noises.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Range:
$23.88 – $34.00 / hour (exclusive of discretionary bonus or equity).
Shift differential:
additional 10% on base pay for night‑shift hours.
