Responsibilities
Engages with team members in span of care to ensure they receive appropriate onboarding, training and development, coaching and feedback.
Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support overall store staffing and ensure a diversified talent pipeline strategy.
Involvement in candid discussions with team members to ensure Meijer standards are upheld and team members can grow within the organization.
Accountable for area operations and financial results by overseeing the execution of corporate plans, maximizing sales and productivity, and owning budget line items in the P&L.
Drives safety and compliance throughout the store in addition to overall condition management.
Ensures Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance and assign daily work assignments for team members and any training needs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
A passion to provide industry‑leading service.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members in a clear and precise manner.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead a safety‑focused organization.
Proactive and creative thinking applied to business challenges.
Strong understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and gain sales.
Strong business acumen.
Innovative attitude to help Meijer set the industry standard.
