Job Description
Food & Beverage/Entertainment Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events through a targeted market outreach that takes place in the property’s Food and Beverage/Entertainment outlets. They will manage client relationships through drafting proposals and contracts, responding to client inquiries, and organizing arrangements for social and corporate events, including setup and execution of meetings, meals, and special events. The position is responsible for achieving revenue goals by actively upselling each business opportunity to maximize revenue. They will implement the brand's service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and will increase customer loyalty by delivering service excellence through each customer’s experience.
Job Focus
Identify and develop sales opportunities and serve as first point of contact for inbound callers and outbound visits.
Coordinate and execute outreach, prospecting and referrals, face-to-face appointments.
Responsible for the booking of events in restaurants and other specialty venues.
Develop an active client list through prospecting, outreach and creative lead generation.
Respond to inquiries and provide information promptly and professionally according to established procedures.
Actively network through industry events and other occasions as needed.
Main contact person for private dining room sales and service of events.
Work closely with clients on menu and beverage selections, creating event orders.
Collaborate with chefs to create customized and distinctive special event proposals.
Coordinate timing, menu choices and special requests with the culinary team.
Complete and/or coordinate activities related to assigned projects; assist in establishing project timetables, action steps and status updates; follow up to ensure timely execution to meet deadlines.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Respond to client calls and special requests, obtain final details, dates, times, and restaurant/private dining room events, and regularly follow up to maintain accurate and updated information.
Perform administrative duties such as typing proposals, letters, contracts, etc.; collect data, update databases and complete monthly departmental reports.
Attend events to ensure proper setup, execution, and client satisfaction.
Upsell to meet/exceed sales and financial objectives based on pre‑determined sales goals.
Coordinate outside vendor service needs (floral displays, audio/visual, etc.) where appropriate; regularly follow up to ensure set‑up requirements meet client expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned (private dining room tours, property tours, special guest requests, maintaining calendars, answering phones and routing to appropriate operations staff).
Desired Qualifications
Minimum of 3‑5 years in sales and events management.
At least 21 years of age or older.
Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety certification.
Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Strong interpersonal and client‑relations skills.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Willingness and availability to work all shifts and all days of the week.
Excellent written and verbal communication; time‑management skills.
Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Word, databases).
Strong comprehension of the English language.
