Summary RS EDEN’s mission is to provide recovery and resilience for individuals facing addiction, homelessness, poverty, disability, and criminal justice involvement. This role supports our residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment, reentry programs, and supportive housing services.
Responsibilities
Assist the Program Director in maintaining RS EDEN property and facilities.
Complete repairs as needed and respond to supervisor's directions.
Enter detailed repair descriptions in the web‑based work order tracking system (AppFolio).
Maintain physical properties, including painting, carpentry, and large building and equipment repairs.
Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring cleanliness and proper condition.
Purchase building and maintenance supplies under the Director’s direction.
Maintain heating systems in all facilities as needed.
Conduct work safely in accordance with electrical, fire, and building codes.
Maintain all yards, walkways, and entry areas in a clean and safe condition as directed by the Director.
Obtain bids for projects and repairs as requested.
Advise the Director and other staff of program needs, safety issues, and potential physical problems.
Assist Program Directors in developing maintenance priorities.
Adhere to personal safety requirements and wear protective equipment when required.
Report time and projects to the Director when requested.
Complete weekly and monthly tasks for each facility as outlined on the facility maintenance form; submit written monthly reports.
Maintain a favorable driving record.
Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
Participate in staff meetings, in‑service training, outside training events, and additional training as required.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including tool use, tool maintenance, and job safety.
Proficient in repairing small and large appliances.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and convey a positive, professional image.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to relate to diverse customers.
Must pass a criminal history/background check.
Two years off correctional supervision.
One year free of any problems associated with chemical dependency, if applicable.
Positive driving record (periodic review required).
Valid state driver’s license.
Current Mantoux test (annual requirement thereafter).
Experience with AppFolio preferred.
Pay & Incentives Pay rate ranges from $25–$28 per hour.
This position offers a hiring bonus:
$1,500 for full‑time applicants.
$1,000 for part‑time applicants.
