Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support site safety programs, training, and awareness initiatives.
Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses (JSA/JHA); support industrial hygiene monitoring and PPE program execution; maintain safety documentation, permits, and regulatory logs.
Support waste management, recycling, air, water, and spill prevention programs.
Maintain SDS management, waste manifests, permits, and environmental regulatory records; assist with environmental inspections and agency reporting (EPA, state agencies, etc.); support implementation of the site's SPCC plan; coordinate environmental incident response and documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field OR Associate's degree with equivalent experience.
2+ years of EHS or safety coordination experience in industrial environments.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
Experience with workplace injury response and familiarity with Workers' Compensation processes.
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction).
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
Workers' Compensation or RTW Program Coordination Experience.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs periodically.
Work Environment
Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to equipment, chemicals, noise, and temperature variations.
Regular interaction with employees, contractors, leadership, and medical/claims partners.
Incident & Emergency Response
Lead or assist in incident investigations using root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
Maintain incident reporting records and corrective action tracking.
Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response team coordination; serve as an active member of the site emergency response team.
Workers' Compensation
Maintain and track Workers' Compensation case files, documentation, medical updates, work status reports, and claim milestones.
Communicate regularly with medical providers to obtain work restrictions, treatment updates, and prognosis information.
Facilitate the site Return-to-Work (RTW) and Transitional Duty program; ensure timely submission of required WC forms, incident narratives, witness statements, and follow-up documentation.
