Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff management. Recruit and interview new team members to build a high-performing retail and production team. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills in sales techniques, POS systems, merchandising, donation intake, processing donations, and customer service standards. Manage daily cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and store budgeting to ensure financial accuracy and integrity. Oversee inventory management activities such as stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction initiatives. Maintain optimal store presentation through merchandising, stocking, signage placement, and ensuring the store environment aligns with brand standards. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems effectively for sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and reporting. Work with marketing team and director of retail operations for strategies to increase foot traffic and sales performance while maintaining excellent customer relations. Ensure compliance with safety policies, store policies, and legal regulations; handle cashiering duties as needed. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills, leadership development, employee orientation sessions, and performance evaluations. Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours; monitor sales metrics and retail math to meet or exceed targets. Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette or in person; resolve issues promptly to uphold customer satisfaction. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and control procedures to prevent loss; coordinate with vendors for purchasing needs. Experience

Proven management experience within retail environments; prior assistant manager or supervisory roles are highly valued. Demonstrated success in recruiting, training & development of staff; supervising teams in fast-paced settings. Strong background in retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, budgeting & financial reporting. Skilled in inventory management systems (POS), bookkeeping practices, cash handling procedures & payroll processing. Excellent communication skills with multilingual or bilingual abilities considered an asset for diverse customer bases. Experience in merchandising, marketing initiatives, stock replenishment & promotional activities within grocery or general retail stores. Familiarity with wireless sales or specialized product categories is advantageous but not required.
