Under the direction of the EVS Supervisor, performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, corridors, stairwells, elevators, and any other assigned area. Clean in accordance with the standard cleaning and infection control procedures of Sodexho Marriott Services and Bridgeport Hospital.

Responsibilities
CLEANING TECHNIQUES: After initial training, performs the following cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods: (1) High and low dusting. (2) Empties trash receptacles, removes trash, and relines container. (3) Damp wipes/disinfects furniture and surfaces. (4) Cleans and polishes bathroom fixtures. (5) Dry mops or vacuums floors. (6) Wet mops/disinfects floors. (7) Burnishes/Refinishes floors. (8) Cleans wall surfaces and windows. (9) Polishes metallic surfaces. (10) Replenishes room supplies. (11) Performs check out or room discharge cleaning. (12) Shampoos carpets. (13) Collects bulk trash from soiled holding areas. (14) Inspects one's own work for quality.
MAINTENANCE & CLEANLINESS: Performs all EVS related tasks with the appropriate sense of urgency and customer service orientation. Completes cleaning assignments within acceptable time parameters as established by the department
