The Role
We are looking for aMarketing Manager, ideally a military spouse, to support the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across YMD client accounts. It will initially be 1 day a week which can be spread over 2-3 days, but is expected to grow to 3-4 days per week over the next 2-4 months.
This is ahands-on, part-time role, working within strategies and plans set by the Founder/Director. You will be responsible for progressing work, coordinating activity, and ensuring marketing tasks are delivered accurately, consistently and on time.
The below is an outline of the work that you will be doing, although not all of this happens at once. Training and support is given where needed.
You will not be expected to lead strategy or client relationships initially. However, youmustbe self-driven, organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks without constant supervision.
All work will be overseen and signed off to begin with, with scope to increase responsibility and hours as the role develops.
What You’ll Be Responsible For Account & Project Delivery
Supporting day-to-day marketing delivery across a mixed client portfolio
Managing marketing projects from brief through to completion
Coordinating third-party suppliers (designers, developers, printers)
Supporting marketing materials for campaigns, events and showcases
Keeping tasks, timelines and deliverables moving without being chased
Reporting & Insight
Producing clear monthly and quarterly marketing reports
Summarising outcomes in a clear and helpful way
Identifying key learnings, patterns and opportunities
Tracking performance across channels and campaigns
Supporting informed decisions about what to continue, stop or refine
Social Media Management
Creating, writing and scheduling social media content for clients
Building content schedules based on agreed themes and messaging
Managing YMD’s own social media activity
Keeping up to date with platform changes and features
Flagging relevant opportunities that align with client strategies
Website & SEO Support
Carrying out routine SEO and website checks
Monitoring performance using GA4 and Google Search Console
Identifying issues, errors or improvement opportunities
Coordinating fixes or updates with third-party web partners
Supporting ongoing content and optimisation activity
Lead Generation & CRM Support
Supporting cold outreach activity via email, DM and research
Using platforms such as HubSpot, Lemlist and LinkedIn
Researching and building prospect lists
Creating, maintaining and improving CRM systems and lead databases
Ensuring data is accurate, structured and usable
Email Marketing
Supporting email marketing activity using platforms such as HubSpot and Mailchimp
Creating newsletters, nurture sequences and sign-up flows
Assisting with campaign, product and seasonal email content
Ensuring consistency in tone, structure and delivery
Campaigns & Advertising
Supporting digital and print campaign delivery
Creating campaign assets using Canva
Coordinating schedules, drop dates or distributions
Supporting Meta and LinkedIn ad campaigns
Managing or updating advertising placements where required
Reporting on campaign performance and outcomes
Experience & Skills You’ll need:
Previous experience in a marketing role
Strong organisational and project management skills
Confidence working across multiple marketing channels
Clear written communication and attention to detail
The ability to manage your own time in a remote environment
Helpful but not essential:
Experience with HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar platforms
Familiarity with GA4 and Google Search Console
Canva experience
Exposure to paid social or advertising management
More important than specific tools is awillingness to learn, adapt and take responsibility.
