Save Job

Magnifique International is a household appliance startup redefining modern home cooking through premium, non‑toxic, thoughtfully designed kitchen appliances. Our products combine health, convenience, and culinary performance. With strong DTC traction, multiple SKUs launching, and deep manufacturing partnerships, we’re entering a critical growth phase. Role Description

We’re hiring a public relations specialist, an experienced and hands‑on operator who will own Magnifique's PR initiatives from day one. You will work directly with our marketing team to guide our PR and earned media strategy: shaping our story, building relationships, securing coverage, and organizing events. You’ll work directly with marketing leadership and external partners, with real autonomy to build the PR function the right way, from strategy, execution, to measurement. What You’ll Do

Define and evolve Magnifique’s core messaging, positioning, and POV across product launches, brand moments, and company milestones. Translate product features into compelling, press‑ready stories that resonate with lifestyle, food, wellness, design, and consumer tech media. Leverage your existing editor and creator relationships to drive consistent, high‑quality coverage. Build and maintain a targeted press list across food, lifestyle, home, health, and business outlets. Pitch, secure, and manage coverage including product reviews, gift guides, founder features, trend stories, and partnerships. Own press releases, media kits, briefing docs, and launch timelines. Coordinate with agencies, freelancers, and internal teams when needed—without relying on them to “do the thinking.” Collaborate with creators and internal content teams to ensure PR, social, and brand storytelling reinforce each other. What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or brand storytelling (ideally in consumer space). A proven track record of earned media and strong relationships (not just a press list). Strong editorial instincts—you know what makes a story newsworthy and how to tailor messaging to different outlets. Confident, clear communicator, a strong team worker. Take ownership, self‑directed, strategic and execution‑oriented. Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building systems from scratch. Compensation and Role Expectations

Location: NYC; Hybrid (4 days in‑person) Employment Type: Full‑time Compensation: $84,000–$102,000 annually Travel: Willing to travel occasionally for launches, press meetings, trade shows, and key events
