Job Description As part of the UPHE Brand Marketing group, the Catalog Brand Marketing team monetizes Universal’s extensive film library across digital and physical formats globally, partnering with other NBCUniversal groups.

The Assistant Brand Manager provides valuable support managing tasks and projects, helping the team achieve organizational goals, and manages certain product releases and campaigns.

Working with the Senior Brand Manager, you’ll champion catalog projects across the organization and with internal partners, including digital marketing, creative marketing, legal, sales, finance, and operations. Your main goal is to maximize profitability while meeting stakeholder needs, and you will own ongoing processes and meetings to support the team’s operations.

This dynamic role offers high visibility and significant learning opportunities.

Responsibilities Marketing / Strategy

Execute marketing plans and products and submit creative asset requests.

Create campaign P&Ls to pass greenlight and ensure profitability.

Collaborate on strategic creative direction for products and marketing campaigns.

Pitch catalog priorities and projects in various venues, from informal team calls to retailer presentations to large‑scale sales meetings. Create and distribute sales sheets and PowerPoint slides.

Continuously seek opportunities to maximize the Universal film library with new ideas for key anniversaries, theatrical drafting, seasonal, and new‑to‑format initiatives across both digital and physical formats.

Product Development / Project Management

Maintain project deadlines, discuss upcoming milestones, and communicate updates. Ensure all teams are executing smoothly and on schedule with support from the Senior Brand Manager.

Gather information and feedback from cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders, perform analyses, and develop sales goals.

Ensure project/creative materials are executed according to strategy and approved in a timely manner.

Collaborate with teams in Digital Distribution, Studio Distribution Services, and International to meet their needs.

Set up and maintain projects in UPHE systems, creating item numbers, component numbers, project codes, and ensuring legal rights are documented.

Respond promptly to all email and Microsoft Teams communications from cross‑functional team members.

Reporting & Analysis

Produce recaps, compile key learnings, conduct post‑analyses, and report findings to the wider organization.

Monitor the competitive landscape to understand other studios’ strategies across all formats globally and share best practices and key learnings.

Actively contribute marketing expertise and insights to build a smarter, collaborative, and successful organization.

Qualifications Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business, or equivalent experience in a consumer marketing role.

Minimum of 2 years of business experience in marketing.

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong knowledge of Airtable and Smartsheet.

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position is hybrid, requiring office presence at least three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, the requirement increases to a minimum of four days per week. The company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
