Material Specialist
Location:
Houma, LA
Position Overview Bollinger is seeking a Material Specialist to locate and move materials and parts from warehouse to storage areas and between work areas of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Reviews production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required materials
Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and the condition of the materials
Will load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks, either internal or external.
Will receive, uncrate, and inspect materials received at the Warehouse
Performs physical inventory counts and enter counts in inventory management software
Locates and moves materials distributed and on hand
Compares work ticket specifications with material prior to loading truck at warehouse
Experience
Six (6) months' experience in a similar role preferred
Forklift certification required
A valid driver's license is required
Must be familiar with measuring devices and have basic computer skills
Skills and Abilities
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Overhead crane experience preferred
