The Role As a Manager of Process Management you will lead a team of process managers in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy‑in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of processes to ensure appropriate execution each time. In addition, you will lead intent development and oversee execution of card conversions in support of credit bureau reporting and disputes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on a risk‑oriented team, strong relationship‑building and people‑management skills, creative problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in white space with unclear problem statements.
General Responsibilities
Creating and validating processes
Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness
Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes
Analyzing, identifying, and correcting data issues with systems used or owned by a department
Analyzing, identifying, and partnering to remediate risks within assigned process; including upstream and downstream impact identification
Providing subject‑matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings, including presenting and sending status updates to senior leaders
Managing and leading a team of associates
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management
At least 1 year of experience in People Management
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management
2+ years of experience in People Management
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management certification
Benefits & Compensation The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300; Plano, TX: $122,100 - $139,400; Richmond, VA: $122,100 - $139,400.
This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
