Sanitation Worker The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the production and shipping areas. They play a critical role in our plants, as they work within a team to clean production equipment, machines, and work areas where food is processed daily.

The Sanitation Worker spends almost all of their time on their feet and moving. Significant strength is required for many cleaning operations, as they control high‑pressure hoses (e.g. 250 psi is common), lift heavy containers of chemicals, and empty trash receptacles around production.

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for handling, proper storage and management of chemicals and sanitizers. They are trained to work efficiently and effectively to ensure food safety and workspace cleanliness. This enables us to produce top‑quality seafood products, at high volume, to customers all over the country.

Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment

Promote health and safety in the workplace

Ensure quality control and efficient workflow

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions

Willingness to work with others to achieve production goals

Ability to arrive on time, prepared for the workday

Additional Requirements

Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds

Work up to a 10‑hour workday: standing/walking most of the day

Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling

Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching

Exposure to FDA‑approved cleaning chemicals

Exposure to temperatures below 32°F

Ability to work in wet and dry conditions

Ability to work Monday‑Friday, weekends when needed

Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives
