BlueRock Behavioral Health is a level 2 residential treatment center dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health care for adolescents. Located on a picturesque 140‑acre mountain campus in Bat Cave, NC, we offer individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client’s needs.

We are seeking a Residential Program Director in Hendersonville/Bat Cave, NC to oversee residential programming, staff supervision, and operational compliance for adolescents aged 12‑17.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee residential programming , ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for residents.
Supervise, train, and support residential staff , including Team Managers and Residential Training Coordinators.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all state and accreditation standards, including 10A NCAC Chapter 27G.
Manage program budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high‑quality care standards.
Serve on the leadership team, providing input on program development, quality assurance, and incident management.
Ensure facility safety, monitoring for potential hazards and implementing risk reduction strategies.
Collaborate with clinical, academic, and admissions teams to ensure seamless student transitions and effective programming.
Review and oversee all incident reports, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
(Master’s preferred) in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
5+ years
of supervisory experience in a residential treatment or behavioral health setting.
At least 25 years of age.
CPR & First Aid certification
(or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
Strong knowledge of trauma‑informed care, positive peer culture, and experiential education.
Well versed in NC regulations, especially 10A NCAC 27G.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication & organizational skills.
Ability to problem‑solve & make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong work ethic & ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Passion for mentoring, supporting, and engaging youth in crisis.
Location & Salary Hendersonville/Bat Cave, NC – Salary $65,000+ based on experience.
